20 minutes of meditation has certain benefits. It lowers levels of stress hormones, it temporarily calms mind, it helps to identify one’s emotions.

In the whole turmoil of one’s life it provides a temporary relief. And then one is back.

I once joked on twitter than people pursuing immortality do it to have more time to meditate, because 30+ years might be not enough to get transformed.

Immortality might be sufficient time span to attain peace via meditation. Ordinary humans like ourselves need to seek other paths.
